The Charities We SupportWhy is the Conscious Relationship Summit Donating All Proceeds to Charity?
Families, the cornerstone of society, are at risk today
because most people don't have the skills needed to create and sustain
successful relationships. While people continue to seek a fulfilling life
partnership, they are not clear about how to do so.
Singles and couples are afraid of relationship failure and indeed North American
statistics indicate that roughly 45 - 55% of all marriages will end in divorce.
Most first born children are born to single parents. Statistically, children
from single parent homes face more challenges in life. They have more behavioral
problems, are more likely to drop out of school and become involved with illegal
substances. Many live at, or below the poverty level.
Blended families are also the norm nowadays and both parents and children
struggle to adapt to their new paradigm - many unsuccessfully.
How can you help? Relationship education and support is greatly needed for
families, children, singles and couples. Your participation in the Conscious
Relationship Summit will help make a difference in people's lives, by supporting
organizations that work directly with families and children, helping them create
a better life.
All Summit net proceeds go to charities that directly benefit children and
families in need. The following is a complete list of charities supported by the
2009 Conscious Relationship Summit.
If you would like to make a bonus donation to any of these organizations, your
contribution would be very welcome. Simply indicate the amount you would like to
contribute directly to the Charity of your choice during the registration
process. This amount will be added to your registration fee.
The live Summit, March 30-April 3, 2009 generated $5,865.00 donated to the following organizations.
Infant Crisis Services (ICS) believes that every baby and toddler deserves
life's basic necessities. We supply life-sustaining formula and food as well as
diapers and clothing for babies and toddlers in time of crisis. ICS employees
and volunteers provide education, emotional support, and guidance to the
families we are privileged to serve. Each individual is treated with compassion,
respect and without judgment. ICS serves as a link to connect families with
other helping agencies in addition to programs leading to self-sufficiency. As
responsible stewards, we are loyal to our mission while serving the last, least
and littlest. Since our inception in 1984, we have provided food, diapers,
clothing, and hope for more than 100,000 babies and toddlers.

The principal objectives of The Olive Branch for Children ["The Olive Branch"]
are to provide relief for orphans in the Country of Tanzania who suffer from
Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome ("AIDS"), or who have the HUMAN
Immunodeficiency Virus ("HIV"), or whose parents have died or suffered from
AIDS. The objectives of The Olive Branch for Children include the improvement
of education and access to education for Tanzanian youths, through our
Montessori initiative and our other education programs, including our HIV/AIDS
educational drama group. In addition, The Olive Branch for Children provides
life-saving medical care services to communities that would otherwise not have
access to medical care. Self-sustainability is another central focus of The
Olive Branch for Children. The Malaika Designs project and the newly formed
Agricultural Cooperatives in the village of Kajunjumele, located on the Usangu
Plains are examples of projects dedicated to helping Tanzanians achieve
self-sustainability.
The ZION Home is truly the pinnacle of care for HIV children. Representatives from other HIV/AIDS organizations visited the Zion Home in 2006 and found the level of care offered is the "best in Tanzania and probably the best in sub-Saharan Africa."
